I spent the majority of my adolescents struggling with my body image, yet always had a deep passion for movement and sports. I was always very active in playing sports and trying new things yet were so deeply uncomfortable inside of myself.
It wasn't until my early twenties when I finally realized that movement & wellness was my true calling as I began teaching group fitness classes. THAT was the start of my passion (life's mission) to inspire, infuse laughter and joy while helping people transform their own lives in such a proactive and impactful way.
I spent 17 years working for the Canadian armed forces as a civilian fitness coordinator and aquatic coordinator. My experience and knowledge over the last 20 years has allowed me to facilitate group training classes, 1 on 1 personal training, meal prep and planning, online fitness/yoga, fitness/yoga retreats, workshops and corporate/team development.
I am a Mother of two, a wife and avid lover of outdoors and adventures. Any day that I can be outside hiking a trail, riding my bike, walking with friends or just exploring the wilderness is where I am the happiest.
I am loud and loving. Funny and deeply compassionate and 100% MYSELF. I truly live the most authentic life being exactly who I am no matter how and when we meet. What you see is what you get! And I promise that you will always get the best of me :)
Lo is a wonderful person and exceptional trainer. I have had the pleasure of enjoying Lo’s yoga and fitness classes and also some one:one targeted personal training. Lorraine is one of the most genuine, down to earth and caring people I know. Lorraine motivates you to do your very best, by pushing you when needed, in order to achieve your individual fitness goals. Lorraine adapts to your individual fitness needs, wether you are beginner, intermediate, advanced, have injuries or specific medical conditions (eg. if you have MS like I do). Lorraine is an amazing yoga teacher, with an extremely calming voice. Lorraine teaches a variety of different yoga classes, to cater to everyone. My favourite classes are Happy Hips & Calm Restorative. I always leave Lorraine’s classes feeling amazing and relaxed - as an added bonus I always have a better sleep following her classes. I could not recommend Lorraine’s fitness classes or yoga classes enough!
If you’re looking for a coach who has years of experience in strength, conditioning, flexibility and mobility along with a great sense of humour and a kind heart, Lo’s your gal! I’ve been training with Lo for several years and happily so! She listens to understand my needs and builds programs that are fun, challenging and effective. If you get the chance to work with her, take it!
